Musical Bonding is a children's music and dance program that offers a series of parent/child sessions devoted to the physical, emotional and social development of children. Our music is designed to stimulate young, tender minds and bring out and enhance their personality. The dancing movements help improve balance, coordination and other sensory stimuli while also reinforcing good social skills in a group play environment. The children will enjoy singing and dancing while getting their first taste of different musical beats and rhythms. The uses of different musical instruments provide a positive musical experience for both parents and young children.
Keep in mind that the most important things that a parent can model for the child are the enjoyment of and enthusiasm for music. Children who see their parents having fun with music will naturally copy their behavior; that's how the learning takes place. Children learn through play.
In recent times there has been a growing awareness about the positive impact music has on young minds. In fact, the most critical time in a child's musical development is from birth to age five. Scientific research has shown that parts of the brain that are not stimulated in the earliest years of life will atrophy. From what we know about the brain, this "use it or lose it" concept applies to music as well. Those children, who have a deficient musical environment and where their potential musical abilities are not stimulated, will end up with a significantly lower music aptitude than might have been possible.
Each session will have 10 classes over 10 weeks and a set of music specifically for that session. Our music selection is provied by The Music Class.
The mission of Musical Bonding is to expose the child not only to a large quantity of music, but also to a broad variety of music. We at Musical Bonding wanted to offer parents and children an enjoyable environment in which to spend time together, and found that the programme created by The Music Class® fits our mission perfectly! The songs include a wide variety of scales, rhythms, instruments and styles, to further stimulate the child's music development. And with parents being an integral part of this program, the physical, emotional and social development of children is easier and quicker. When parents enter their child's world of activities and imagination, the child blossoms with more confidence to explore and learn.
Journey so far...
Musical Bonding started its first batch in December 2009 with a goal of having two batches and before we could realize we had three successful batches running. In our second session we more than doubled the batches and are looking forward to growing at the same pace...
